Melanie Ortanez has been in the fitness industry for 8 years as a personal trainer/coach, educator, and former Physical Therapy Assistant. As a former powerlifting competitor and National Physique Competitor in Women's Physique, she currently competes in Spartan races and Obstacle Course Racing, consistently landing in the top 10 of her age group. Beyond the gym, Melanie enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, backpacking, bouldering, kayaking and Stand-Up Paddleboarding.
