Since I was about 12 years old, training dogs has been a lifelong passion of mine. Growing up around sport dogs inspired me to pursue my interest in dog training. Recently, I have opened up my services to the public and pride myself on being a unique trainer in comparison to others. I believe that punishing the symptoms of poor behavior does not solve the underlying issue, so I make it a priority to tackle the root cause. It is important to me that dogs feel secure with their humans, knowing they are in charge and can protect them. This helps them to curb stress and avoid presenting "aggressive-like" behavior while on-leash. I focus heavily on the Human-Dog dynamic, as it sets me apart from other trainers. I achieve results through implementing reward-based training with a balance between positive and negative reinforcement. For instance, the seat belt chime in a car serves as an example of negative reinforcement.
