About
Since I was about 12 years old, training dogs has been a lifelong passion of mine. Growing up around sport dogs inspired me to pursue my interest in dog training. Recently, I have opened up my services to the public and pride myself on being a unique trainer in comparison to others. I believe that punishing the symptoms of poor behavior does not solve the underlying issue, so I make it a priority to tackle the root cause. It is important to me that dogs feel secure with their humans, knowing they are in charge and can protect them. This helps them to curb stress and avoid presenting "aggressive-like" behavior while on-leash. I focus heavily on the Human-Dog dynamic, as it sets me apart from other trainers. I achieve results through implementing reward-based training with a balance between positive and negative reinforcement. For instance, the seat belt chime in a car serves as an example of negative reinforcement.Profile isn't claimed yet

David's name says it all! From our first meeting, it was clear that he has a great passion for helping dogs and their owners have a wonderful relationship. I decided to rehabilitate my shy, 9-year-old fur baby, and it was one of the best choices I could have made for her. David spent a few weeks working with her, and he was incredibly patient and gentle throughout the process. It's rare to find a trainer who truly loves and cares for our pets, treating them as family members. However, that's precisely what David does. I'm grateful to have found him and will gladly recommend him to my loved ones. Thank you, David!

Initially, we contacted David to care for our dog while we were out of town. Given our dog's fear-based aggression towards people, we informed David of this beforehand. However, following a few days of our dog staying with David, we noticed that our furry friend was content and always happy to be back at David's place. As of late, we had to depart for an extended period, and David collaborated with us to develop a customized training program for our dog, centered on addressing our concerns. Subsequently, David took the time to familiarize himself with our dog and establish trust. He constantly updated us on our dog's progress, and after only two weeks, we were astonished to see him much more comfortable around people. David visited our residence for a follow-up session, imparting how we could maintain our dog's improved behavior and manage any problematic conduct. We have no doubts that David is an excellent trainer, evident from the positive change in our dog's behaviour. As dog owners, it's difficult to trust our pet with others, but we have peace of mind when David is looking after him.

David is amazing! His greatest strength lies in imparting the knowledge he has taught your furry friend, provided you pay attention. When we visited MC shelter to adopt a new pup, we brought our grandchildren along to witness the interaction, which was mostly pleasant. Unfortunately, after three weeks, our little one became unmanageable, and we had to decide between giving him away or putting him through rigorous training. We chose the latter. Three months later, we still have our pup, who is still learning, as are we. We can now take him on walks, and when issues arise, we know just what to do. Regards, Joe and Kathy from Payson.
