My approach as a performer is to connect with audiences by communicating directly to their emotions and immersing them into the musical world I create. When I play the cello, I aim to go beyond just showcasing technical skill, and instead, I seek to capture the inner essence of the listener. As a music educator, my objective is to encourage my students to develop their love for music and the cello. By helping them identify their goals, I strive to provide a clear path to attain success.
Jason Mooney has been playing the cello since the age of nine and boasts over ten years of experience teaching and performing professionally. Jason has worked with notable chamber musicians like Andres Cardenes, Gary Levinson, Yuriy Bekker, Michael Klotz, and Maureen Nelson. He has also attended prestigious music festivals, including the National Orchestral Institute, Meadowmount, Garth Newel, Miami Music Festival, and Brevard.
