To start off, I want to emphasize my qualifications. As a pet sitter, I am fully insured for both animal massage and pet care. I am also bonded and trained in pet first-aid. What sets me apart from other pet sitters is that I am also a certified canine/feline massage therapist. My passion for animal behavior has led me to study it extensively, and I have gained a deep understanding of pets that even their owners may not have.
The relationships that I create with my clients' pets are invaluable to me. I take pride in ensuring that their homes are well-maintained during my visits. Daily scooping of litter boxes and sweeping around them, as well as cleaning up pet hair and accidents, are high on my priority list. Any towels used during my stay are washed, dried, and folded properly.
The most enjoyable aspect of being a pet sitter is developing a bond with the pets I care for. To see the gradual development of their personalities as they become comfortable with me is a true delight. A particular point of pride for me is that some of my massage clients initially let me touch them for only a few minutes at a time, but through patience and understanding, I've been able to earn their trust to the point where one of my clients recently let me massage them for an hour and a half. It is moments like these that make the job truly gratifying.
Overall, being a pet sitter is a dream job for me. I have numerous clients who treat me like part of their family, and I get to experience the joy of caring for a variety of animals without the need to house them all myself.
