In general, I had a thoroughly gratifying experience. Regarding the project, it entailed finishing a full basement (around 1500 square feet) with an open floor plan that included a gym, bar, storage closet, entertaining area, and a full bathroom. For the quote and pricing, I contacted WG Custom Carpentry Inc via CrackerJack, and they promptly responded, scheduling an in-person consultation to discuss my needs and requirements. After fine-tuning the quote with a few finishing options, I found it to be very competitive for the entirety of the basement finishing project. The job began around a month after I signed the contract and took roughly 7-8 months to complete. There was a delay of 2-3 months due to my customized cabinet and countertop selections and their delivery. However, I do not attribute it to the company. As for the staff and their work, I must commend Wellynson/Alison duo as an exceptional team. Their staff was punctual, typically arriving early in the morning and working until the day's task was complete. They cleaned-up daily and left the area in excellent condition, with debris bagged and properly disposed of. They kept me informed and in touch throughout the entire process, making the entire experience very positive. I will most definitely be using WG Custom Carpentry Inc for any future home improvement needs, and I would highly recommend them for any remodeling work. You can rest assured that you are in excellent hands with them.

We recently had a farmers porch constructed. Although not extravagant, it was a decent size (8x27). Given my carpentry expertise, I opted to handle the finishing touches myself, while hiring a contractor to take charge of the groundwork, the roof, the framing, and the deck. After sending an inquiry to WGCC, Wellynson promptly got in touch with me and scheduled a site visit. We had gotten three other quotes from different contractors, but their prices varied greatly (some exceeding 10k). Wellynson provided us with a quote within a few days of the visit and we were very impressed with the reasonable price. During the site visit, Wellynson stood out from the other contractors by asking a lot of insightful questions about the design and the work. It dawned on us that WGCC was a company that paid close attention to detail and avoided cookie-cutter approaches that sacrificed quality for speed. We were very pleased with their work and warmly recommend them. Despite the porch being “unfinished”, it looks excellent and they managed to procure vinyl siding that matched our red siding (which we were not aware was discontinued). They spent an entire day scouring the state to locate a supplier that still had a box of the matching siding. This resulted in a day lost from their quoted price but they made sure to provide us an exact replica. This level of care alone is deserving of a rave review. We’re thrilled we chose WGCC for our project and we believe anyone looking for a building contractor should consider them.
