My name is Nathan Engels and I am the proud owner of Wellness League, a one-on-one studio that helps adults achieve their maximum functional potential. With a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a master's degree in Aging Studies/Public Health Sciences from Wichita State University, I am a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, and Health Coach, all accredited by the American Council on Exercise (ACE). In my 8 years of experience, I've realized that I'm more of a wellness and performance coach than just a personal trainer.
At Wellness League, our ultimate goal is to help our clients thrive both inside and outside the studio. That's why we have a team of experts that includes a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Geriatric Exercise Specialist, several Exercise Scientists, and two Personal Trainers. We also actively participate in community work and I often speak at various events including the Positive Aging Conference at Wichita State and the Sedgwick County Aging Summit.
We believe that fitness is a marathon, not a sprint. Every client is paired with a customized program, which is monitored through a portable phone app to ensure they achieve their goals. Our mission is simple: to provide hope and inspiration. We want everyone to realize that with some hard work and dedication, anyone can achieve fantastic results. We ensure the safety of all clients, even the high-risk populations, as long as they have a medical release.
The most rewarding aspect of coaching is seeing our clients reach their maximum potential regardless of age and fitness level. Our clients become like family, and we care just as much about their results as we do our own. Our workout programs are challenging yet addictive, but we never push anyone harder than they're ready for. It's a skill that takes time to master, but with our help, you can reach the best version of yourself.
