Wayman McCoy Violin Performer and Instructor

It's been approximately four weeks since my son commenced taking lessons from Mr. McCoy. What immediately stood out was his sincere personality. He's very accommodating with scheduling, and more empathetic about missed lessons or makeup classes compared to other establishments I've researched. He comprehends that life can be unpredictable and prioritizes adjusting to the student and family's needs rather than merely pursuing business. Regarding his teaching proficiency, I couldn't ask for anything more. His immense knowledge greatly assists in showcasing the possibilities that await if the child truly enjoys music. His insatiable thirst for acquiring new knowledge is infectious. He adjusts the lesson pace based on his assessment of the child's capabilities. I am extremely pleased with my decision to choose him as my son's teacher.

If I were to paint a picture of the perfect music mentor, Wayman would undoubtedly be the one! The bond between us was instantaneous, and he possesses all the essential traits of a great teacher, like unparalleled patience, expertise, experience and soulfulness, that has paved the way for my musical development. Easily one of the smartest choices I've made in 2018.

Mr. McCoy's class is thoroughly enjoyed by my 11-year-old daughter. His teaching style is so engaging that my daughter finds it fun to learn. Moreover, he encourages my daughter to practice the violin with enthusiasm.

Although I am scheduled to begin lessons with Mr. McCoy next week, I must commend his courteous demeanor during our prompt communication. I had numerous inquiries that spanned several days and he patiently provided satisfactory answers.
