It's been 8 years since I started drumming, and with Andrew's guidance, my playing has come to life. During high school, I played both marching and classical percussion and later, in college, I started playing the kit. Andrew aided me in eradicating the tension that had built up during my marching days and reminded me how enjoyable making music can be. More than just a drum instructor, he acted as a confidence coach, and his lessons over the past few months have had a tremendous impact on my progress.

In June of 2014, I began taking lessons with Andrew. As a seasoned bassist and guitarist of 35 years, I found it necessary to broaden my skill set by taking drum lessons. This was important because I often have to cover on a drumset in my church band. While I possessed some basic skills, I desired to learn the correct techniques. I am pleased with Andrew's teaching approach. His observation and ability to assign exercises that enhance drumming skills have been beneficial. Moreover, his enthusiasm, professionalism, and engaging personality make lessons fun. Based on my experience, I highly recommend him to students at all skill levels.

Despite my lack of drumming experience, he made me feel right at home and guided me through the challenges of learning a new skill with ease. His lessons are well-planned and personalized, ensuring that I was always comfortable with the pace. His encouragement and positivity have been unwavering, even in instances where I didn't put in sufficient practice. We have transitioned from just a few in-person lessons to the online platform due to Covid's restrictions, however, Andrew's teaching approach still remains remarkable, making learning enjoyable and seamless. It has been almost 2 years since our son commenced his drum lessons with Andrew, and he has made tremendous strides since then. Our son thoroughly enjoys his one-hour sessions with Andrew, who has an exceptional talent for keeping him motivated and striking a delicate balance between what he wants to learn (particular songs) and what he needs to learn. We highly endorse Andrew as a skilled and competent drum teacher.

During the early months of Covid quarantine, Andrew took on the responsibility of teaching my son how to play the drums. His excellent rapport with children was evident as he constantly provided them with positive feedback and motivation. Despite the challenges of Zoom lessons, Andrew efficiently managed to tailor his teaching methods to make it a success. Andrew's flexibility, supportiveness, and outstanding instruction skills have earned him our recommendation, and we are delighted to recommend him to others.
