Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile.When you learn cello with me, you'll have a fun, effective, and stress-free experience that will help you feel the joy of learning. Music can be intimidating, but don't worry - I'll make sure you have everything you need to feel confident in your progress.
My philosophy is "Every Student Can." Learning music should be easy, natural, fulfilling, and fun - and the right teacher makes all the difference. I've spent years perfecting the art of communicating musical concepts and have created videos and products that will guide you every step of the way. I'll be there to help you find a cello and support you every step of the journey.
Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, an adult or a child, my lessons are tailored to help you reach your goals. I have a Bachelor's and graduate degree in music performance from a top university (UCLA) and over 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels.
Since the pandemic, I've moved most of my teaching online, which has many advantages. All of my students are thriving and making great progress through online lessons. I'm also happy to provide in-person lessons as needed and can assist with obtaining an instrument if necessary.
I'm passionate about providing high-quality lessons that help every student reach their full potential. Whether you're looking to pursue music professionally or simply want to learn for fun, studying with me will be a productive and enjoyable experience. Let's get started!

The way Mr. Oshagan uses games to teach a technique to my almost 3 year old is truly impressive. He recognizes that play is the most effective way for young children to learn and breaks down concepts through games that result in the technique he's teaching. As a result, my child is engaged and focused during his lessons and has developed a strong admiration for Mr. Oshagan. In addition to being a talented teacher, he also provides valuable information to parents on how to support their child's practice at home in a stress-free and productive manner. I specifically sought out a cello teacher who specializes in teaching young children and feel fortunate to have found Mr. Oshagan.

While I acknowledge that the other teachers may excel at music, Oshagan demonstrated a prompt response and my niece enjoyed his company, feeling at ease with him. As a result, she has opted not to explore other options as she fears becoming overwhelmed and is content with her choice.

Discovering Oshagan was thanks to the Suzuki Association website. My three-year-old has an intense liking for cellos and was thrilled to hear that Oshagan specializes in working with young children. Despite my lack of musical knowledge, Oshagan has succeeded in making me feel confident enough to guide my son’s learning (at his current stage). His teaching style encourages a strong bond between the teacher, parent, and child, a critical aspect that I am particularly fond of. Oshagan has been highly responsive, approachable, motivating, adaptable, and proficient in his profession.
