Majyk Paws Dog Training

I am Maj Barkai, a certified dog obedience trainer and behaviorist. I graduated from Animal Behavior College as an honors recipient of their dog obedience trainer program (ABCDT). Utilizing positive reinforcement, I believe setting dogs up for success leads to a happier and more engaged training experience. With expertise in behavior modification and integrating reactive dogs into social environments, all training programs are customized to the needs of the individual dog, family, and lifestyle. When addressing unwanted behavior, I always offer an appropriate choice to enable the dog to make the correct decision, which results in a more relaxed, stable, and confident animal in the long run.

The most gratifying aspect of my work is facilitating better communication among every member of a family unit, both human and canine. Through obedience training, dogs can behave appropriately and remain safe. After spending years working with rescue groups and shelters, witnessing countless dogs being surrendered due to poor behavior, it became my purpose to make a difference and help keep dogs in caring homes. There is no greater joy for me than finding fulfilling work and giving back in such a meaningful way.
