With a background check to his name, Willy Minnix has amassed over 20 years of experience as a professional musician and sound engineer. He has been fortunate enough to collaborate with industry giants like Blues Traveler, the Indigo Girls, and Keb' Mo, among others. Willy has also worked with Hollywood A-listers such as Stanley Tucci, Keanu Reeves, Kevin Bacon, and Jill Hennessy. Having plied his trade in top music cities across America such as New York, Memphis, Austin, Atlanta, Willy now brings his expertise to the Piedmont area. Beyond music, Willy is a published author and Harvard Reader, with research in the works on Francis Child, the first English professor at Harvard University and compiler of the definitive collection of Scottish and English ballads.
As an instructor, Willy aims to get you playing music quickly and excellently. In your first lesson, you will learn to play songs and entertain your loved ones. He derives immense satisfaction from working with people and watching them progress from simple novices to proficient musicians.
