As a violist with classical training, I have also gained proficiency in playing Irish and klezmer music on the violin. I find joy in teaching adult beginners, as well as students of all ages with a focus on those who are considering a future in music. My approach is highly grounded in foundational techniques and I believe that a strong base is vital for any student's success. My respect for each student is equal, regardless of their skill level, and I am transparent about the teacher-student relationship. If I feel that communication is not effective, I am open to suggesting that the student find another teacher who is better suited to their individual needs. I am passionate about teaching those who desire to expand their skills and knowledge. The current pandemic has made online teaching a comfortable and practical mode of instruction; however, I encourage a balance of both online and in-person learning.
