His attitude towards taxes was acceptable, but when I asked him about tax breaks, he replied with "I am not a magician". This wasn't very helpful, considering he was a "certified CPA" and I had a complex tax situation involving property in another state, government work, and contracting on the side. Although his pricing was reasonable compared to three other options I considered, I didn't find him to be a compatible fit for me. Additionally, his office was located in a small room adjacent to a corner store in a dicey neighborhood in DC, and he had to lock and unlock the door to let me in. I won't be returning to him next year.
