I have been tuning pianos part-time for a few years now, specifically on weekday evenings after 4 and Saturday mornings. Judging by my reviews, my work has been well received.

During a typical tuning, I start by vacuuming the inside of the piano. Then, I give it a once-over to ensure there are no issues that could complicate the standard tuning process. The actual tuning phase takes the bulk of the time since it involves adjusting all of the 230 strings for optimal sound. I also perform any quick repairs as needed before cleaning up my tools and leaving your piano in better condition than before I arrived.

If you prefer, I can work on most weeknights after 4:00 and earlier on Saturdays. While I may not be the fastest tuner around, my approach leans towards quality over quantity, and I tend to take my time. Typically, a piano tuning with me lasts 3-4 hours (depending on the piano).
