SMG Basketball

For 36 years, I have coached basketball at various levels ranging from Primary to University. The key ingredient that sets my coaching apart is my ability to transform teams into families. Despite our many triumphs, such as winning the Foothill High School 1988 California State High School Boys Basketball Championship, it was the bonds we formed that endure to this day, 32 years later. Presently, I serve as Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball Program at East Bakersfield High School. I have had the fantastic fortune of coaching some of the greatest players in Kern County Basketball History. My philosophy is simple, I derive satisfaction from helping my players achieve their potential, succeed in life, and not merely excel in the game of Basketball.
