Lucas Remodeling

Speed up and take cover - I engaged Lucas Remodeling, also known as Igor, for a basement finishing job that involved drywall, mechanical, plumbing and flooring. The plumbing and mechanical work began around August 1st, with the drywall installation scheduled in the final week of August. Unfortunately, the drywall process dragged on for an unreasonable amount of time due to repeated mistakes made by the contractors which included the improper use of a propane tank, putting the family living in the house in danger. To make matters worse, the work was substandard as the contractors applied paint over the switches and outlets, leading to their replacement. The drywall was finally completed in November, but Igor refused to finish the job, which didn't bother us as he was barely involved anyway. He removed ceiling vents during the drywall/mechanical process and refused to reinstall them. The furnace area was left cluttered with extra insulation, grout, and mortar. He didn't finish the vinyl flooring and left a crack in it; there was paint on the carpet that he promised to clean but didn't; window trim was broken, and there were paint buckets and trash in the window wells. Additionally, Igor didn't adhere to the code requirements as there was no studor vent in the bathroom plumbing and refused to make a hole in the wall per code. Lastly, he tried to blame others for his mistakes. Our experience with this company was a complete nightmare; therefore I cannot, in good faith, recommend them.

Igor and his team at Lucas Remodeling exceeded my expectations! Their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were evident throughout the entire 4-month basement installation process. As a first-time basement finisher, I was impressed with how they transformed nearly 2400 square feet of space into two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a spacious living area complete with a wet bar. The attention to detail was impeccable, and even when changes were made, Igor and his team were accommodating every step along the way. What stood out most to me was their ability to complete the project within budget and on time despite the challenges of today's dynamic supply chain. I highly recommend Lucas Remodeling!
