At the Deffenbaugh House Of Music, you can receive private instruction in piano, drums, and guitar from a highly experienced and sought-after teacher and professional musician, Mark Deffenbaugh. With over 20 years of experience, Mark provides a safe and comfortable learning environment that is both fun and highly educational. The lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, whether they are interested in classical music, jazz improvisation, or popular songs.

Lessons are held on a world-class hand-built German piano and surrounded by modern keyboard, drums, guitar, and percussion gear, as well as computer music software including Moog Sub 37 Synthesizer. Tuition is paid monthly, and lessons are scheduled for half-hour, forty-five minute, or hourly session increments, depending on the needs of the student. Lessons are private, and all instruction is given on a one-to-one basis.

Students can expect to receive instruction on graded standard piano methods and technical studies from beginner to advanced levels, piano concert repertoire in classical, jazz, religious/gospel, rhythm and blues, Latin, Broadway, movie, and contemporary music genres, as well as music theory from beginner to advanced levels, which includes transposition, chords, scales, and arpeggios. Mark also offers jazz improvisation and contemporary keyboard studies from beginner to advanced levels, instruction for early childhood (from four years of age), and instruction for children with special disabilities.
