We engaged their full range of services to construct a 659 sq ft addition, complete with architect design, construction, interior decoration, and front yard landscaping. We were impressed with Décor from the get-go, appointing them as our contractor of choice after several rounds of interviews. From March 2021, we spent two months honing the addition's design, refining our drawings with the help of a patient designer who listened carefully to our requests. We submitted our plans to the city in May 2021, receiving approval in November 2021. Despite the challenges posed by COVID and supply shortages, Décor Builders wasted no time beginning construction, completing the bulk of the project by early April 2022. Their efficient scheduling and excellent project management left our friends and neighbors awestruck at the pace of their completion. We were thrilled that Décor always expanded the scope of the project confidently and handled any surprises that came their way seamlessly, securing materials and contracting out work as needed. Décor's thoughtfulness extended beyond their mastery of construction work. They minimized the impact of the project on our daily life, updating us weekly on project timelines and schedules. Any disruptions, such as power cuts or water outages, were flagged well in advance, allowing us to prepare accordingly. Throughout the project, we encountered a few challenges, but Décor Builders was always prompt in assessing and proposing the best solutions. After putting up a backyard covered-patio project for bid on an online solicitation site, we enlisted the services of Decor Builders as our contractor. Other issues emerged due to Decor Builders' preference to work with complete plans, which included specifics down to the placement of new electrical outlets. While we had engaged an architect and structural engineer for planning purposes, their designs lacked the necessary level of detail, which resulted in additional consultations and delays. Decor Builders contracted with Jose & Company to carry out a significant portion of the work, which they executed to an excellent standard. Jose & Company, too, desired more comprehensive plans from the outset to facilitate their work. Despite the project's setbacks, we are extremely pleased with its finished outcome, which surpassed our expectations and reflects superior quality. Feedback from others who have seen it supports this sentiment, with many remarking on its beauty, luxury, and superior craftsmanship.
