About
I am the Head Boys Basketball Coach at St. Bernard Academy, and a former collegiate athlete with experience playing for Lambuth University in 2008-2009. I also have pro playing experience with Eurobasket 2020. I have coached several teams, including several middle TN basketball developmental programs. My coaching philosophy focuses on identifying and targeting the weaknesses of each individual player to develop them through the game of basketball, while placing the players' needs first in order to inspire the next generation of athletes.

I have a passion for all skill levels and a genuine love for the next generation of athletes. I am also interested in developing life skills through basketball. I have received several awards and honors, including being on the Dean's List and receiving recognition from the Honor Society, as well as completing community service through organizations like Hands on Nashville and the Martha O Bryan Food Bank. My basketball achievements include playing for Lambuth University, achieving 18.3ppg in the Mid State Sports League, and participating in the Eurobasket Summer Camp and "The Basketball-League-TBL". At ihoopnashville, I achieved 21.0ppg, and as part of the Middle Tennessee Soldiers, I was the Second Place Runner Up Champs.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Tennessee State University in 2013 and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2016. I have also worked with several organizations to coach and motivate youth basketball teams, including Shelby Metro Basketball Camp in Memphis, as a Youth Counselor from 2009-2013, and as a Youth Counselor for the YMCA in Nashville from 2016-2017. I have also been the Head Boys Basketball Coach for 5th-6th and 7th-8th grade at St. Bernard Academy from 2015-2020. Additionally, I have worked as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for Upward Stars from Feb 2017- May 2017, as well as coached for New Level Basketball in Nashville in 2018 for Boys Basketball 6th grade.

In 2019, I worked for the Middle Tennessee Soldiers from May 2019-June 2019, and in 2020, I worked for the Elite Amateur Basketball League in Nashville from Feb 2020-Apr 2020. Currently, I work as a Skills Trainer for One on One Skills Trainer at St. Bernard Academy and for SkillzDr Trainer since Sep 2021.

Coach Jonathan provided an excellent training session for my son. The drills were meticulously planned and met our desire to improve his gameplay and abilities. Although we reside in Clarksville, we had an early morning training session that didn't prove to be burdensome. As a result, we will undoubtedly be securing more of these training opportunities.

I had a great experience training with Coach Johnathan. He imparted to me ample knowledge and accurately assessed my skill level during our initial workout.

Coach Jonathan is an exceptional trainer who pays equal attention to the strengths and weaknesses of all his clients. His sessions last upto 90 minutes and he coaches many clients in Nashville's inner city. His workouts primarily focus on the fundamentals, strength and conditioning. He also ensures his clients are well-versed in shooting, ball handling, and game-like situations. Thank you!
