Two and a half years ago, I started playing the piano with the intention of improving my songwriting abilities. Unfortunately, my progress in songwriting was slow during the first 18 months. My previous teacher was skilled in Chopin and Beethoven, but I found these tedious tasks difficult to focus on due to my ADHD. I also lacked a solid foundation in music theory and did not know where to start. I had many interests, including classical, jazz, orchestration, film composition, and production, but I felt directionless. I was about to give up until I discovered Keyhan. Keyhan has been my teacher for the past 18 months, and I have made incredible progress in writing, playing, and creating music. Friends have remarked that it sounds like I have been playing the piano my entire life, and I can finally bring my musical ideas to life. Keyhan's background in jazz, classical composition, and production has allowed him to teach me the fundamentals of creating any piece I desire. He is patient, adjusts his pace to my learning speed, and has answered every question I have had about jazz, classical, songwriting, composition, production, and music theory. I am convinced that there is nothing he doesn't know about music. He has helped me focus on and achieve my goals, and I am continually progressing under his direction. Moreover, Keyhan is a lovely person and easy to get along with. He cares for his students and will do anything to assist them in reaching their musical goals. He is the perfect teacher for anyone, whether they are starting their musical journey, looking to progress in something they already know, or searching for a specific skill set. He is a one-stop-shop for all things related to musical education. After working with multiple other musical instructors, I can safely say that Keyhan is the best teacher I have had, and I cannot recommend him enough.
