When we arranged to meet, he told me he required a week to review documents. However, during our discussion, it became evident that he hadn't actually devoted any time to reviewing the documents beforehand. As compensation, he decided to lessen his document review fee by 50%. On the day of our scheduled walk-through (which had been planned for weeks), he informed me that he would arrive 30 minutes late, but only a few minutes before the intended time. I expressed my disappointment that despite planning the appointment a week earlier, he hadn't given me an expected arrival time. He responded by saying that he didn't appreciate being questioned this early in the process as it could impact our future working relationship, and suggested it might not be suitable to continue working together. I agreed with his decision. Though I have no doubt that he is a talented engineer, my interaction with him demonstrated a lack of professionalism.
