Jay Jay Whaley

From third grade until my senior year of high school, I had the pleasure of being taught by Jay Jay. Throughout my journey, he continuously showed kindness and consideration as a teacher, supporting me while holding me accountable for my own progress. Even during times when I lacked motivation to practice, he never gave up on me and always found inventive ways to spark my passion for music. Without hesitation, I would love to learn from Jay Jay again.

During an extended visit, Jay Jay provided piano lessons to my daughter, along with my two grandchildren aged 6 and 8. All three of them were thrilled with Jay Jay's instruction, finding him to be attentive to their needs, as well as an excellent teacher. Under his calm and patient guidance, the trio made considerable progress throughout their stay, even expressing reluctance to return to their usual tutor in London. I wholeheartedly endorse Jay Jay's services!

JJ Whaley is a highly skilled professional and a revered educator with a passion for teaching piano to his students. We consider ourselves fortunate to have JJ as the teacher of our two children. Our boys have relished the experience of learning piano from him and regard him as one of the finest teachers they have ever had. For many years, he taught both of my boys music and they thoroughly enjoyed learning under his instruction. His skill as a music teacher is exceptional, and he imparts his knowledge with a tremendous amount of passion.

Jay Jay is an exceptional piano instructor who takes on various roles such as a mentor, coach, and counselor. With his great patience and understanding, he is able to work well with any age group and is always willing to accommodate his students' needs. Over the course of 11 years, he successfully taught my oldest son until he graduated from High School. Similarly, he taught my youngest son for three years until he decided to make the shift to focus on violin playing. My sons have both benefited greatly from Jay Jay's teachings as he not only encouraged them to enjoy playing the piano but also made sure to provide them with tips before every recital to improve their overall performance. His teachings included piano theories, which he made engaging and fun for his students. He urged them to participate in various recitals and events to display their talents and sharpen their skills. Furthermore, Jay Jay has established a strong rapport and effective communication with both his students and their parents. We are truly grateful for having Jay Jay as our boys' amazing piano instructor!
