Ow. I hired a locksmith to do a few things: fix a deadbolt that wasn't working, install a new deadbolt, and swap out two passage doorknobs. I thought it was a good idea to go with a professional to make sure everything was aligned and the new deadbolt had the necessary holes. The quote was $450 which seemed pricey, but I agreed because I wanted it done right. I left for 15 minutes to pick up my son and when I came back, the locksmith had only fixed the deadbolt and swapped out one doorknob. He couldn't install the new deadbolt because he didn't want to drill into the wood and he needed a new internal latch for the other doorknob. Shouldn't he carry the necessary supplies with him? The locksmith offered me a "deal" for $415 but I talked him down to $250 for only doing part of the job. He told me to call him back when I'm ready to do the rest, but I think I'll pass.

I contacted a different locksmith for assistance, but they refused to provide me with a clear estimate or initial cost. I persisted in asking for a quote, but the individual became angry and abruptly ended the conversation.

I have successfully installed the door and lock after a two-hour search for the right locksmith, and I owe it all to this exceptional company. I highly recommend their services!
