A. L. Hippert Shotokan Karate-Do is affiliated with the United Artist Karatedo Association (UAKA), which has over 60 years of martial arts teaching experience and is registered and certified with W.S.K.F. UAKA has dojos in various locations, including the U.S. and Philippines, and offers high-quality traditional Okinawan Shotokan Karate at the California dojo, Chinese Kempo Karate at the Texas dojo, Shitokai Karate at the Philippines dojo, and Kung Fu at the Ohio dojo.

Our dojo offers a clean training environment with knowledgeable instructors and low monthly membership fees for CrackerJack customers. We also have a 300 square foot in-home dojo, one-on-one or small group training options, and dressing and restroom facilities with a shower. We schedule training days and times to suit your schedule and offer training in hand-to-hand combat and weapons. We also offer abused women's self-defense training, with dates and times available upon request.

Our accomplishments include being a certified and registered martial arts dojo and instructor, teaching Shotokan karate and hand-to-hand combat self-defense to various private and public groups in the United States and Asia. Our trainees include active and retired military, veterans, DON and DOD civilian and military police, U.S. Provost Marshal Personnel, and local and national police agencies. We were inducted into the National Sports Karate Museum in 2012 and the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2014. We are also the USA Director for the Philippines Karate League (PKL) and have been accepted as an official martial arts instructor for AKKR, Philippines.

A.L. Hippert's Shotokan Karate Dojo welcomes dedicated men, women, and young adults who have the willingness, discipline, and self-fortitude to train in martial arts. We also offer personal self-defense training to prepare individuals both physically and mentally. Our members gain strength and confidence in martial arts using effective classroom and street-proven combative techniques. We are a family at United Artist Karate Do Association (UAKA) and Back Alley Fight Club (BAFC), not just a martial arts training facility.
