The Salted Parlor is a boutique catering firm that uses food as a way to weave stories. We believe that cooking is an opportunity to not only celebrate ingredients, but also to commemorate the moment. Our Parlor “Sessions” are personalized, intimate experiences that revolve around 100% from-scratch food tailored to your individual story.

B.B. Huff, the Owner and Executive Chef, combines her 15 years of storytelling in the nonprofit sector with nearly a decade of experience in the culinary world. Her palette is influenced by her childhood experiences in her mother's kitchen, as well as her education at the Culinary Institute of America, time spent at the LA Times Test Kitchen, and managing the Sur la Table Cooking School in Scottsdale, AZ.

Chef B.B. is truly remarkable! She dedicated time to understanding the essence of our dinner. At my place, she masterfully cooked appetizers, entrees, sides, and dessert for our group of ten. She was sociable and receptive to all inquiries about her techniques and course selections. Every dish was scrumptious and raved about by all! I extend my deepest gratitude to you, Chef B.B., as everyone is still reminiscing about Tuesday night!

Our work with B.B. proved to be an excellent experience. We not only honed our knife skills but also expanded our knowledge on which knives excel with different tasks. Additionally, we received instruction on how to safely use and clean our knives. We furthered our culinary education by learning how to effectively alter ingredients to cater to individual tastes. We were fascinated to discover creative ways to enhance flavors without solely relying on salt, and how acidic compounds provide a means to subdue certain flavors. Preparing a Thai menu granted us opportunities to acquire new wok techniques and master proper pan heating. We were reminded of the importance of leaving items to "cook" before stirring them. Our group of five had an enjoyable and beneficial experience, due in large part to B.B.'s extensive knowledge of taste profiles, humorous personality, and culinary expertise. We eagerly anticipate arranging another session with B.B. Thank you, B.B.

During our vacation in Scottsdale, our group of eight often seeks the services of a private chef. Upon conversing with Chef BB, I had a strong intuition that we were in for an exceptional time. The innovative menu she proposed tailored to each of our individual needs. Chef BB arrived punctually and within 10 minutes, the kitchen was filled with an appetizing aroma. Between courses, she offered a serene atmosphere and shared enlightening tips on food preparation and group gatherings. The 5-star quality of the meal was undeniable, and we eagerly anticipate another delightful evening with Chef BB when we return to Scottsdale.

Chef BB exceeded all expectations! The food was extraordinary and her professionalism, warmth, and humor made her an absolute delight to work with. Her personal touches and tailored menu made for a truly memorable event. She was incredibly open to sharing and answering questions, which added to the overall interactive and enjoyable experience. Even with a group of 8, every single person was blown away by her skills. Without a doubt, we will be booking Chef BB again whenever the opportunity arises.
