Kabir Dalawari

Based in Chicago, Illinois, Kabir Dalawari is a skilled drummer, composer, and educator. As a band leader, he has performed with his band at numerous venues in the city, including Constellation Chicago, California Clipper, Evanston SPACE, Hungry Brain, Elastic Arts, Fulton Street Collective, and many more. Dalawari also holds positions as faculty at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School and People's Center for Cultural & Contemporary Arts, where he leads ensemble rehearsals and teaches drumset and percussion lessons. His debut album "Awareness" was released on March 25th, 2022, and has subsequently garnered over 100k listens on Spotify. Dalawari's artistic vision is to blend the traditional language of jazz with contemporary elements inspired by African, Indian, and Western roots.
