Dr. Starr, our teacher, is deeply passionate about music, particularly the violin, and instruction in general. Both my daughter and I hold him in high regard. His ability to motivate us is truly impressive. Not only does he excel at teaching techniques and skills, but he also possesses the ability to create beautiful music. He is helpful in teaching us how to practice effectively in between lessons and provides valuable feedback throughout the process. We consider ourselves fortunate to be under the tutelage of Dr. Starr.

Up until now, Dr. Starr has been exceptional. His expertise is remarkable, and he possesses the ability to educate children by conveying the reasoning behind the concepts. Furthermore, he is a very amiable individual.

With his expertise in teaching violin, Dr. Starr facilitates in-depth comprehension and practical application of crucial techniques that upgrade student's proficiency. He inspires students to strive for progress and equips them with productive practice methods. Despite having had various violin instructors in the past, my playing ability has remarkably improved in just a few months of instruction under Dr. Starr's guidance.

One of his strongest qualities is his ability to thoroughly explain the violin/viola method he teaches. Understanding the reasoning behind the technique has helped deepen my knowledge. His jovial yet earnest personality makes class enjoyable, and he maintains a positive attitude even though I am a teenager. He never settles for less than my best effort and holds me accountable.
