My Instagram account, @alysonhallphoto, showcases my latest work. I specialize in photography using both 35 and 120mm film, capturing moments that evoke genuine emotion and feeling. My approach combines photojournalism with an artistic, cinematic feel, emphasizing natural and raw emotions over stiff posing. As many of my subjects are first-timers in front of the camera, I guide and direct them in a way that feels genuine rather than cheesy or forced. I edit my photos to be timeless and vibrant, avoiding trendy filters and enhancing the natural colors and tones of each day. I take pride in my dreamy, film-like aesthetic, influenced by old film stocks. To me, photography is about preserving special moments and memories for generations to come.
