A Brush With Art

My philosophy on Drawing and Painting is that it should be enjoyable and easy. As an Art Teacher for over 10 years at Central and South Seattle Colleges and Schack Art Center, I have developed skills from beginner to advanced levels. My lessons cover shading, blending, lights and shadows, 3-dimensional objects, details, proportions, perspective, and composition for Drawing, and color mixing, color schemes, blending, texturizing, layering, etc. for Painting. My students find my teaching method enjoyable, and it builds confidence in their art skills. Online classes are adapted to Zoom, with live online lessons, close-up demos, and interactive feedback. I can tailor lessons to any level and subject, from Animals to Sci-Fi creatures, Buildings and Clothing, and everything in between. My students have access to basic steps of drawing and painting, allowing them to develop their skills and boost confidence.

I have a Bachelor's in Studio Art and a Bachelor's in Biology from Florida State University, with teaching experience in Art Classes, including Drawing, Acrylic Painting, Watercolor Painting, Pastels, and Colored Pencil at Central Seattle College, South Seattle College, and Schack Art Center. My interactive teaching approach provides a variety of teaching styles and presentation methods, including online classes.
