Our goal is to provide exceptional service that is both affordable and timely.CHM Engineering is helmed by John Cagle and Collin Hogrefe. With over 16 years of experience in aircraft structural analysis and 4 years of home structures analysis, both John and Collin possess the knowledge and expertise needed to bring your residential project to fruition. John holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, while Collin has his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. Additionally, both John and Collin have earned their Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure in several states, including North and South Carolina and Ohio.

A consultation for my detached garage was carried out by John and Collins during their site visit to my home. Their professionalism, expertise, and amiability were remarkable. As a Realtor, I was the listing agent for a property and during the inspection, two areas of structural concern were identified. The buyers made a request for these issues to be addressed by a Certified Structural Engineer and for a report to be issued. Luckily, I was able to obtain the recommendation of John Cagle from a general contractor friend of mine. John, along with his associate, did an exceptional job of guiding our carpenter on the correct steps needed to rectify the previous owner's alterations. They then returned to the property after the repairs were completed to verify everything was in order, and provide the necessary report.
