Simmelink Violin Studio

Having taught for the past 12 years, Ms. Simmelink incorporates modern techniques and the Suzuki Method into her classes. She completed the Every Child Can and Book 1 Suzuki Certification program under the guidance of Ronda Cole. Having started the violin at the young age of four with the Suzuki Method, Ms. Simmelink understands what it takes to learn a new instrument. She enjoys teaching students of all levels and has successfully watched her students grow and develop their musical skills. Her students have also performed with several notable orchestras including the Maryland Classics Youth Orchestra, Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra, and the Phoenix Youth Orchestra.

Ms. Simmelink holds a Bachelor's degree in violin performance from Ithaca College and a Masters of Music from Arizona State University. She has also performed with several orchestras like the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Richmond Symphony, Delaware Symphony, Alexandria Symphony, American Pops Orchestra, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra, and the Savannah Philharmonic.

Ms. Simmelink is open to teaching young, beginner students as well as advanced students who are interested in competitive training or college preparation. Her lessons range from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on the needs of the student.
