Although he provided me with the best quote and was the quickest to respond and follow up, he blindsided me with a couple of things once he started the job. I made it clear that I did not want branches and tree trunks sitting on my lawn for too long, so we agreed to reschedule and he said he would take care of the debris. However, he did not clarify what this meant, and it turned out that his idea of "taking care of it" was to simply leave it there. As a result, the tree removal area of my lawn was completely destroyed. Also, despite agreeing over text message to level the stump after using the stump grinder, he only covered it with mulch and said that the hill would eventually go down, despite my protestations that we needed to be able to plant things there. After arguing with him, he asked for more money and then asked me to give him more business. Although I was not in any rush for Fpl to take care of the remaining branches, I agreed to let him take down the tree because he seemed eager for more work. However, I should have known better. I cannot believe that he expected me to give him more business after betraying my trust with his bait and switch tactics.
