About
With over 26 years of experience working with athletes, including a background in professional swimming, I am qualified to assist individuals of all levels in their swimming endeavors, up to and including the Olympic level. My collegiate years were spent at UC Berkeley in California, where I earned two NCAA Division 1 National Championships and set two American Records. In addition, I was honored as a 13-time NCAA All American. I achieved exceptional times in my individual events, swimming 19.9 for my 50 Butterfly, 19.04 for the 50 Free, and 45.45 for my 100 Backstroke.
Throughout my coaching career, I have had the privilege of working with athletes all over the world. One success story includes my work with Lia Dekker in Holland, where I helped her return to the podium top in the 50, 100, and 200 Breaststroke events after experiencing a life-changing meniscus injury. With our rehabilitation program, she was able to achieve success in just nine months.

After just three sessions with Coach Tony, I've already noticed an improvement in my swimming abilities. His patience and thorough explanations have been incredibly helpful.

Tony is an exceptional coach who epitomizes professionalism and patience - a vital feature for those aspiring to upskill, as well as beginners. He is well-versed in his field, simplifying complex techniques and exhibiting best practices while in the water. My experience with him was nothing less than remarkable, and I'm indebted to him for the privilege of being under his tutelage. Tony went above and beyond by bringing me swim gear and driving to the pool. Without any hesitation, I wholeheartedly endorse Tony if you're seeking a coach.

Coach provided my daughter with private lessons to address her specific stroke concerns. After a mere 45 minutes, she displayed significant progress. She emerged from the pool with a grin, informing me that Coach not only conveyed the necessary changes but also demonstrated them. His communication style and expertise in body mechanics proved highly effective for her. I was chiefly impressed by his inclusion of dry land training to facilitate muscle development, thereby reducing the risk of injury. With less frequent complaints of shoulder and knee pain, her times improved tremendously following just one session and continue to decrease as they continue to collaborate. The cost was worthwhile! My anticipation for Falcon Warriors to expand into a full-time swim team only increases.

To prepare my daughter for an upcoming swim meet, I requested Coach Tony to provide her with private lessons. With ample experience as an excellent swim coach, he assisted her in dropping her time and qualifying for several events in the Junior Olympic. His professionalism, patience, and caring attitude were noteworthy. The lessons left my daughter feeling motivated to practice the specific areas he emphasized.

At 63 years old, I am a competitive swimmer with US Masters Swimming but had never learned how to properly execute "underwaters," or the fifth stroke. After watching Tony, a skilled swimmer with impressive underwaters, I decided to take a 60-minute private lesson with him. Tony first observed my turns during warm-up, where I completed 12-16 lengths. He then provided various explanations and observations on how to improve or change my approach to the wall, giving me live visuals to help me understand better. Though the lesson went beyond an hour-long, Tony never seemed to be watching the clock. Instead, he provided additional tips on how to improve my freestyle stroke's kick to enhance my swimming skills further. Thanks to Tony's instruction, I can now easily incorporate these changes into my routine and develop a stronger and faster fifth stroke, as well as more effective turns. Finally, Tony promptly responded to schedule our lesson, demonstrating his dedication to helping others improve their swimming abilities.
