The Chef Anderson

Chef Anderson, originally from the Dominican Republic, found inspiration in his grandmother's cooking. When he was nine, he and his parents moved to the United States in search of the American Dream. At 19, he accompanied his uncle, the executive chef of an Italian restaurant called Pasghettis, to East Rochester. Under his uncle's tutelage, Chef Anderson surpassed expectations and was promoted to executive chef of the restaurant within a year. After working at Calandras Mediterranean grill in New York, Chef Anderson returned to his passion for gastronomy following several years in the corporate world. In January 2018, he established Mamá Luisa Catering, named in honor of his grandmother, which initially provided services for corporate and private events before adding a meal prep service in the New York tri-state area. In 2019, Chef Anderson earned the Top Toque Award for his class while studying at the Institute of Culinary Education. This award recognizes academic excellence and is chosen by faculty. In 2022, Chef Anderson relocated to Midlothian to launch his private dining experiences, specializing in Latin fusion cuisine. He plans to launch a Latin Fusion Food Truck in summer of the same year.
