Jose performed a complete replacement of my driveway and walkway leading to the front door, and I must say that my experience with him was outstanding from the beginning until the end. After setting up an appointment for an estimate, he swiftly provided me with a reasonable quote, which was impressive given the current lead times of many contractors. In no time, he returned to start and conclude the project efficiently. However, an unexpected event occurred an hour after he left when a delivery driver overlooked the caution tape and left footprints on the newly-laid walkway, resulting in my frustration since I had just spent a fair sum on the project. Following several exchanges, I enquired if anything could be done now that the concrete had set, and Jose took it upon himself to come back to my house at 8:30 pm and expertly removed the stains. He is a true professional, and I have already referred him to a neighbor as well as someone else in need of comparable work. Without question, I will employ Jose again if necessary. Thank you, Jose!

When the city installed a water service for my property, part of the sidewalk was damaged. However, Jose was able to restore the sidewalk despite unexpected demands from the SDOT, such as requiring additional concrete for the gutter under the asphalt on the street. Despite these requirements, Jose successfully completed the job without changing the original price. He was responsive throughout the project and did an excellent job.

Jose and his team were exceptional. They dedicated themselves to this project, investing considerable effort in the preparation work that preceded the arrival of the concrete. On top of that, Jose's pleasant and flexible demeanor made the process much smoother. I strongly endorse him.

The job was well done, despite a few concerns I voiced both during and after the work was completed. However, the team reassured me that my worries were unfounded. The retaining wall, which stands between 1-2 ft tall, was poured first and looks great. Due to rainy weather, I suggested waiting for a clear day to proceed with the rest of the work. Nevertheless, the team proceeded to pour the slab on a cold afternoon just before freezing temperatures and light snowfall. Although this made me nervous, the team used an additive in the concrete to speed up the curing process, and assured me that a tarp covering the majority of the slab would protect it overnight. The end product looks good, except for a few small areas, measuring 2-3 sq ft, where water collects. The team informed me that this is normal and can be remedied by installing a french drain or applying gravel. Although a few minor annoyances surfaced towards the end of the job – such as nails left on the fenceline and a tarp buried accidentally under part of the ground they had sloped – I fixed them myself, and nothing major arose. The job cost roughly 6k, which is in line with other quotes, and resulted in a 12x16 slab and retaining wall that will be useful for an outdoor shed or smoker. Although I have some extra dirt near the slab, which I asked the team to haul away, they were unable to do so without incurring extra fees. I will, therefore, move the dirt myself. All in all, I am pleased with the job done.

I engaged Jose's services for laying down 200 sqft of concrete in my backyard and must say that I am thoroughly impressed with his workmanship. The job was completed within two days with impeccable finesse, and I am extremely satisfied with the end result. I would definitely call on his services again in the future!
