About
Collaborating with people of various ages in learning and refining music is my passion. Whether it's individuals who started during their childhood or teenage years but want to revisit their musical passion as an adult, or students in middle or high school aiming to establish themselves in their school or honor groups such as regional and all-state orchestras, I have an impressive track record in motivating and guiding them. Some of my students have even flourished as music majors in reputable colleges. While being an accomplished accompanist is an added advantage for my vocal and string students, I am comfortable working with students ranging from beginners to highly advanced. My goal is to encourage students to perform and engage in their communities. Witnessing my students accomplish their musical ambitions, whether it's their first recital or performing with their community orchestra, fills me with gratification. Lastly, I like to introduce performance music that may be unfamiliar, yet enjoyable for my students. I and my children were under the tutelage of Lali Breen for several years. During that time my son picked up viola, my daughter excelled in violin and voice, and I too received vocal lessons from her. Lali was a delight to work with, meticulous in her approach and helped greatly in improving my children's musical faculties. Moreover, her guidance proved crucial in my efforts to sing again with my church choir. Her insights and techniques were simply the finest!

Our outdoor wedding ceremony was made even more special by the talented violin guitar duo suggested by Lali. I had initially asked for a harp player, but Lali's recommendation was spot on. Although I missed most of their performance as I was busy with some last-minute preparations indoors, I did get to hear the song that the bridal party walked down the aisle to as well as my own choice. The music was much appreciated by all the guests, who complimented its loveliness and audibility. Lali was very prompt and efficient in communication and helped us plan out a sensible timeline. They have an extensive and wonderful repertoire to choose from.
One minor drawback was that the duo needed shade, which was reasonable; unfortunately, we didn't have much shade available, so we had to rent an umbrella for them, which was a little inconvenient. I would recommend that Lali keep an umbrella handy for such situations, reducing the hassle for both parties. With wedding vendors already costing an arm and a leg, it's the little things that can go a long way in making the experience stress-free.
Overall, a heartfelt thanks to Lali and the duo for their incredible performance and adding that special touch to the ceremony.
