About
Hi there, my name is Matt Parker and I am a skilled photographer living in Charleston, South Carolina. My passion for this art form began during my childhood on the picturesque Cornish coastline in England. I pursued my love for photography by studying at college and went on to earn an honors degree in photojournalism and art photography at university.Following university, I founded my own business as a wedding photographer in England and quickly became a sought-after member of both the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Professional Photographers Association. In 2019, I decided to move to South Carolina and haven't looked back since. Charleston provides an amazing backdrop for weddings, offering countless stunning locations and venues.
My approach to wedding photography is similar to that of a photojournalist. I quietly capture moments and memories as they occur, producing timeless images that you will cherish for a lifetime - always striving to use natural light whenever possible. I am experienced in fine art, modern, traditional, and any other style you might request.
With more than 8 years' experience as a professional photographer, I am confident that I can offer you the best possible service. I am committed to providing a great experience and building strong relationships with each of my clients, ensuring that you will love your images.
In addition to wedding photography, I also specialize in surprise proposals, engagement shoots, bridal shoots, portraits, headshots, commercial and event photography - and I am a licensed drone operator able to shoot aerials commercially.

Our surprise proposal was a huge success thanks to Matt's fantastic work! Throughout our communication leading up to the proposal day and on the day of, he was always prompt in responding and accommodating of any last-minute requests or changes that we had. Even though we knew from his gallery that he takes great photos, we were blown away by the incredible quality of the pictures he captured for us, especially considering the challenges posed by the windy beach and tricky lighting. I would give Matt Parker 5 stars in every category if the review survey allowed me to. The entire experience was exceptional and I am honestly disappointed that I could only choose 3/5 categories in which he excelled. I highly recommend Matt Parker for any of your photography needs in this area. Both my fiancé and I were extremely pleased with our engagement photos, which were delivered in less than a day. In fact, even Matt's furry friend contributed to making our engagement unforgettable!

Selecting Matt for my engagement photoshoot turned out to be an excellent decision. Corresponding with him was always effortless, and he possesses an exceptional talent for photoshoots of this nature. Prior to my arrival, he was already present at the proposal spot, maintaining a low profile, so as not to alert my currently betrothed partner, and his photography skills were remarkable. My engagement photo shoot with Matt was absolutely outstanding! As a newcomer to Charleston, I had no idea where to go for the perfect pictures.
