About
Setting the stage for a puppy's long-term success hinges on effective training and socialization in the initial few weeks. I've dedicated myself to this full-time task, having nurtured foster puppies for over nine years and welcomed countless dogs into my home. Animal welfare is my driving passion, and through collaborating with rescue organizations and shelters, I've witnessed how many pet owners surrender their dogs over basic behavioral issues. With the right guidance from a seasoned trainer and a bit of effort, common problems such as potty-training, crate-training, and socialization can be readily resolved to avoid any potential issues damaging the bond between pet and owner. At Puppy Preparatory School, our aim is to lay the groundwork for a puppy's future success and ward off any negative behaviors from the outset.

My puppy was enrolled in Jamie's 4-week board and train program, and I strongly endorse her services! Jamie provided regular updates on my pup's progress, which eased my concerns about being separated from my furry friend for an extended period. Her outstanding professionalism and training techniques helped my puppy develop better obedience and command skills.

Riggins, our 3.5-month-old pup, spent two weeks under the care of Jamie at Puppy Preparatory. Jamie's quick response and timely updates on Riggins' progress were commendable. Riggins was warmly embraced by the pack and received just as much love as he would at home. He had a great learning experience and enjoyed his stay at Puppy Preparatory. Currently, Riggins is 10 months old, and we plan to enroll him in a refresher course at Puppy Preparatory while we're away. We wholeheartedly recommend Puppy Preparatory!

From early November through December, Inola was enrolled in Puppy Preparatory's puppy daycare where Jamie would regularly ask us if there were any specific areas of focus we wanted addressed during the socialization and obedience training sessions. Inola exhibited eagerness to attend Jamie's daycare and seemed pretty tired after each session.

After a glowing recommendation from a friend, we decided to hire Jamie for our puppy's training. We were thrilled to find that our friend's experience was not unique; Jamie was incredibly thorough in setting expectations and determining whether our goals for our pup were realistic. She was exceptionally responsive to our questions and always available before, during, and after the training sessions. Our puppy was only 16 weeks old when we started, and by the end of training, he was crate-trained and mostly housebroken. Jamie's professionalism and knowledge of the subject matter made the decision to work with her an easy one, and we were pleased to discover that she was happy to offer guidance and assistance even after our training period concluded. Now that our puppy is 6 1/2 months old, we can see the results of Jamie's efforts - he is an adorable and well-behaved sweetie pie. We have already recommended Puppy Preparatory to several other friends and family members, and we're confident that they will be thrilled with the results as well.

Since he was 10 weeks old, Asher has been going to Jamie for care. Initially, he was boarded for four weeks, during which time Jamie provided everything necessary, including a crate, potty training, socialization, and commands. We have since continued to work with Jamie via the day training program, which keeps Asher's commands and training a daily priority and helps as he grows into a young man. It's great news that Jamie is offering this program, and Asher is eager to reunite with his furry friends. I highly recommend the Puppy Preparatory program not only for first-time dog parents like myself but also for those who value early education for their puppies!
