The Ultimate Dog Lady

Initially, my motivation for dog training stemmed from my adoration of canines and my aspiration to have a well-behaved pet. However, my perspective shifted when I adopted a "Reactive Dog". Despite all the literature I had studied, practical experience I had gained, and time spent learning from other trainers, I was unable to assist my new companion. To rehabilitate "Bandit", I knew I had to refine my training methods beyond the corrective training I had previously relied on, as it was not effective. After extensive research, I discovered Brenda Aloff, a professional with a more effective training approach centered on positive reinforcement. Subsequently, I attended her seminars, devoured her books, and met with her to better understand the power of positive reinforcement. Her teachings ignited a newfound passion within me, and I became a full believer the moment I started implementing positive reinforcement with Bandit. As a result, I have seen a dramatic shift in his behavior, as he has transformed from a reactive dog to my devoted best friend, one I can take with me anywhere without apprehension. Consequently, I obtained my certification as a Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainer through the Certified Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA 1153918).
