Effective communication is crucial. Initially, Alex estimated that the job would be completed within a week. He assured me that his team could work swiftly and efficiently. Although I was aware of the project's scope from other estimates, I trusted his experience and expertise. However, Alex only worked on the site during the first three days and brought one more worker for the final two days. The job dragged on for over six weeks. Alex utilized a nail gun to secure the stair caps, which started coming off soon after. He attempted to repair them by gluing and nailing them again. Unfortunately, two caps came off within three weeks. Despite my repeated requests, Alex has not resolved the issues or made any progress in the past seven weeks. He seldom responds to my messages or calls, leaving me with a few poorly done tasks. While I appreciate 90% of his work, Alex should have refrained from overpromising and representing himself as a larger operation than he was. It is more effective to under-promise and over-deliver than the other way around.

The workers were punctual and skilled, completing the task within the agreed timeframe.
