After I battled cancer, Coach Leonard motivated me to take up tennis again. As I gradually regained my strength, he provided me with one-on-one lessons. Once he felt I was prepared to join a class, he urged me to upgrade my tennis skills. He even encouraged me to participate in team play. During a difficult period, Coach Leonard was an unwavering pillar of support and inspiration for me. While many instructors can teach the basics of the sport, it takes a special kind of educator to provide personalized attention to each student's unique goals and abilities. Eight years ago, my family and I moved to California. We have a passion for playing tennis and whenever we want to develop our skills, we subscribe to tennis training. Out of all the coaches I've known, Coach Leonard has been the most exceptional teacher. His classes were always in high demand and there was a waiting list to attend. He played a significant role in the tennis development of many children of our players. We were deeply saddened when he retired from Gensta Park and we miss him greatly. Coach, we miss you!

A highly proficient and tolerant tennis coach, Coach Johnson stands out for me as an older student due to his engaging and entertaining approach to classes. Under his tutelage, I experienced steady improvement on a monthly basis. With students of all ages under his wing, he is undoubtedly the foremost instructor in the Antelope Valley.

Upon realizing that my former teacher always pointed out my mistakes, I decided to switch to Leonard. Unlike my previous teacher, Leonard made a point to notice and commend my successes. His constant positive feedback sometimes verged on being excessive, but he also imparted a life lesson that left a lasting impact on me. Undoubtedly, he is the greatest tennis teacher I have ever had and thanks to him, I also won a beautiful trophy. Unfortunately, due to changes in my work schedule, I had to stop taking lessons from him, which was a great disappointment.
