CNC executed the task of removing a wall and constructing a closet proficiently, albeit untidy. Nonetheless, they met our precise expectations. Flooring, however, was procured from another source.

While it pains me to write a potentially hurtful review, I feel compelled to ensure that others do not undergo the same negative experience as we did. I will stick to factual information as I detail our encounter with CNC Homes LLC. This fledgling company, in operation for only a few months, offered us a quote of $3k to divide a large room, drywall it, and renovate the outside siding and ceiling of our patio. The owner, Kimball, was a young man who exuded confidence and seemed knowledgeable. We also met the other owner, Kimball's father, who unfortunately yelled at my partner. CNC Homes hired two workers to renovate a laundry room that adjoins our backyard. We expected the workmanship to be of superior quality as the old siding had warped considerably and had been installed in 1967. However, the situation turned into a nightmare when the workers began replacing the siding. Our trusted contractor of 25 years called it the "worst job he has ever seen." We notified Kimball of the issue, but he brushed it off with a dismissive "it was like that before; it'll look fine with caulk and paint." Compounding the problem were the following issues: - Drywalling around the lighting openings and switches made it impossible to add a faceplate. - Siding holes were misaligned but installed regardless. - Trim around windows and doors lacked precision and alignment. - We had concerns about the plumbing and electrical meeting code requirements. - The gas line placement was off and improperly located. Kimball refused to apologize and instead failed to take any ownership of his workers' egregious errors. To hire inexperienced and unprofessional workers was bad enough, but to abandon any responsibility for their poor work was unacceptable. We hope that Kimball learns from this and that others do not suffer from similar poor-quality workmanship. The cost to us was significant in terms of both finances and energy; we are currently seeking a new contractor who values professionalism and quality. Attached pictures will help you make your own assessment of the situation.
