Joey Mutis

As an experienced teacher of over 25 years and a professional musician and singer/songwriter, I provide lessons at both 1/2 hour ($25) and full hour ($45) intervals. My instruction covers music theory, reading music, music history, and, where applicable, voice and song composition. Additionally, I specialize in working with beginners to advanced students of all ages, correcting bad habits, and expanding their knowledge beyond their chosen instrument.

Working with diverse groups of students is something which I greatly value. I teach individuals of all ages and am particularly fulfilled by seeing children develop confidence, and by helping students express themselves through music. My teaching style is driven by my passion for music, as I believe that by introducing students to a broad range of genres and music history, they can gain a more immersive experience of it. It is both personally rewarding and an added benefit to my teaching approach.
