After experiencing a backup in my bathroom and toilet, I decided to book a drain cleaning service from CrackerJack. The booking process was hassle-free as I scheduled the appointment for 2 pm despite it being only 11 am in the morning. However, the technicians arrived five hours later than the scheduled time, and I was informed that the company did not offer estimates over the phone. Upon arrival, they informed me that they would charge $251 for snaking the toilet and another $251 for the shower drain. If I wanted them to remove the toilet from the floor and fix the problem, I'd have to pay an additional $500, making the total cost $502. Despite charging me an exorbitant amount for their service, they did not fix the issue as the tub and toilet continued to back up multiple times a few moments later. In hindsight, I should have followed the advice of a friend who loaned me a snake and purchased drain gel, which resolved the problem. Waiting for the technicians to arrive three hours late and paying $270 for minimal effort was a waste of my resources.
