Rachel's Reiki with Rev. Rachel Schwab

Exactly one year ago from today's writing, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. Since then, I have been regularly attending Reiki sessions with Rachel every two to three weeks. I am convinced that Reiki has positively impacted my experience with the cancer, mitigating many of the side effects of chemotherapy and the illness itself. Even though it's challenging to definitively prove otherwise, I have observed many women with ovarian cancer struggle with severe neuropathy in their extremities, gastrointestinal issues, headaches, and endless nausea and vomiting that I thankfully have not experienced. In September 2021, doctors informed me that the cancer had also spread to my brain, where there was reportedly a 0.7mm lesion in my cerebellum. Rachel began administering Reiki treatments that focused on my head and brain, and when I had the lesion removed by neurosurgeons the following month, they were unable to locate it. It had vanished. Although the intricacies of the human brain are beyond me, I believe that consistent Reiki sessions with Rachel are responsible for both the disappearance of the brain lesion and my relatively mild side effects as of late. In March 2022, the oncologist informed me that I had between three to six months left to live, and promptly contacted hospice. As it stands in July, I am feeling relatively well and continuing to attend Reiki sessions with Rachel.
