Having had an A/C issue at my investment property, I initially turned to my home warranty company. However, upon receiving a quote of $1200 from the contractor they recommended, Bell Cow HVAC, I opted to hire a contractor independently. The compressor was still under warranty, so replacing it would have been free, and the warranty company would have covered labor. That's why I chose to make use of the cash-out option offered by my home warranty company instead. On a Sunday, I posted about the potential repair on CrackerJack, and M&J Services' Mike got in touch immediately. After explaining my predicament with Bell Cow HVAC, Mike gave me a fair and reasonable quote that would save me a lot of money. I agreed to it, and we scheduled the repair for the following Tuesday. Mike and Jacob arrived on time and started work straight away. To their surprise, they discovered that the compressor wasn't the issue but that the A/C suffered from a reversing valve problem. Anyway, they fixed the A/C and got it up and running again. I was very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism, so I had them install dampers in the air handler the following day. I plan to use M&J Services again in the future, this time to install a new thermostat in the same investment property. I have no hesitation recommending them to others, thanks to the quality of their work, professionalism, and knowledge.
