With over three decades of chef experience, I am skilled at preparing savory and sweet dishes. My titles include Executive Chef, Executive Pastry Chef, Personal Chef, Culinary Instructor, and Banquet Chef, and I am recognized as one of the Top Chefs of Polk County in Florida Magazines. My credentials include professional training, a college degree, and apprenticeship at Walt Disney World. I was recently awarded the Best Table and Table Decor award for both Top Chef of Tampa Bay and Top Chef of Polk County, as well as the Top Philanthropic Chef for Top Chef of Tampa Bay. Additionally, I was featured on the front page of the Sarasota Herald for teaching a culinary class.

At my small catering and private event company, quality over quantity is a top priority, and I specialize in creating unique and delicious dishes for small events. I understand the importance of providing an exceptional culinary experience, no matter the size of the event. All of my dishes are fresh and made from scratch, with fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats, and cheeses carefully chosen for their high quality. I have experience with various dietary restrictions and can create custom dishes to meet everyone's needs. My staff is trained with the idea that anything less than exceptional service is not accepted.

The Island Chef is truly outstanding! Her menu options were exceptional and diverse, and the meals she prepared were absolutely fantastic. The filet mignon was as smooth as butter, the salmon was moist, and the smoked turkey/brie sliders and Ahi tuna cakes were excellent. The roasted beet, pear, pecan, goat cheese, and wild green salad was simply lovely. Not to mention the white truffle mashed potatoes and the black iron skillet coconut cornbread. The birthday cake was a delectable masterpiece. Everyone at the gathering complimented the food. Tamera and her team, consisting of a single member, arrived on time and were meticulous in their presentation. They took care of everything, including cleaning up and storing leftovers, making everything seamless. I had no responsibilities and was overjoyed to spend quality time with my 25 guests. I would recommend her without hesitation. Five-star superb!

Tamara, the chef, exceeded all of my expectations by going above and beyond. The food, presentation, and professionalism were all outstanding and rated 10/10. The beautiful Mediterranean table scape was not only delicious but also visually stunning. Tamara worked with me closely to create a full menu for my mother's 60th birthday dinner cruise. Despite encountering unexpected mechanical issues on our charter yacht and having to switch boats midway through, Tamara's ability to handle anything and everything made the transition seamless. I highly recommend her and her services, as she made our evening simply perfect. Thank you so much!

Island Chef's team was incredible. They provided impeccable food that was both elegant and delicious, perfect for our event. The presentation was thoughtful and artistic, and the staff attended to each guest generously. Their custom cake was a beautiful masterpiece that was also delicious.
