I strongly endorse US Music Lessons! For almost a year, my 14-year-old son has been a part of their Rock Band class and has thoroughly enjoyed his time there as a drummer. Collaborating with his fellow bandmates as they learn the skills needed to play in a real rock band has been a highlight. The group has performed numerous times at local venues, such as the Hard Rock Cafe, which has been an incredible opportunity for the kids. Despite already having some drumming experience thanks to his grandfather, my son has still benefited significantly from the excellent teachers who instruct the Rock Band. He constantly plays alongside other US Music Lessons students who have learned various instruments, making his experience very positive. Thanks to the dedication of the wonderful teachers at US Music Lessons, all of the students are gifted and talented young musicians. The Rock Band class is an innovative, fun, and inspiring way of teaching music that instills a passion for performing and encourages steady improvement. Participating in actual performances and receiving feedback directly from the instructor has been an invaluable experience for my son.

Our son started out at School of Rock in Point Loma which was a decent school but quite distant from our home. Moreover, the private classes at School of Rock were too brief and the emphasis was more on playing with a band. We have found that US Music Lessons provide a better alternative. The private lessons are an hour long and Todd, our son's drum teacher, comes to our place, enabling our son to learn on his own acoustic drum set which is a big plus over School of Rock. Additionally, like School of Rock, US Music Lessons offers band sessions for students where they can play with others and they also organize recitals. We have noticed a significant improvement in our son's drumming skills since he joined US Music Lessons.
