Description:

My name is Lena Skov, MBA, KPA, and I possess over two decades of experience working with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, paired with formal education. I attained my degree from the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior, and specialize in Board and Train services.

To ensure your pet receives the utmost attention, I limit my services to a maximum of five dogs at a time. I pride myself on being a humane trainer, refraining from using shock collars, choke chains, or prong collars during training sessions. Instead, your furry friend stays with me for three weeks in my guest bedroom, as I believe they thrive best when included as a part of the family—not cooped up in a kennel.

In addition, I offer Free Lifetime Support, meaning that as long as you have your dog, I am available to provide video and written instructions on how to continue their training at home. So effective is my approach that most clients are satisfied and do not opt for a second session, knowing that their dog is doing exceptionally well.

For Board and Train, the expected pre-paid cost is $1,850.

Our 2 golden doodle pups have a good foundation of obedience thanks to the excellent job Lena did in helping us. Within a few sessions, they were able to walk on a loose leash, come when called, and follow other simple commands. What stood out was the notes she sent us after each session, outlining our goals and steps to achieving them. Lena was kind to our dogs and able to quickly earn their respect. Furthermore, she was patient with my husband and me as we learned to work with our furry friends. We have a great admiration for Lena and are thankful for her assistance in training our dogs.

Lena's expertise is impressive! Our furry companion exhibits erratic behavior during walks and we were lost on what to do. Fortunately, Lena was able to concoct a strategy for our pooch! Luna, our adopted dog, used to be a breeding dog with a sad past of inadequate attention, low weight, and lack of muscle tone. Her behavior on walks was problematic, either stopping entirely to observe squirrels or running relentlessly. She had no idea about personal space or obeying commands, regardless of her age of almost 6 years old. So, we entrusted her to Lena, who had a board and train program. We didn't have the time or expertise to train her, and she needed expert guidance. We knew it would be tough, but Lena gave it her all, treating Luna as her own to make her better. Upon Luna's return, she had shown a remarkable change, responding to commands like sit, down, and cot, and even walking on a loose leash better than our first dog. Lena's commitment amazed us, helping our other dog Nash with his anxieties, and promptly answering questions from an overbearing pet owner like myself. We are grateful to have found Lena, whose efforts have provided us with a canine companion that has excellent communication skills.

Lena was exceptional in handling our rambunctious boxer pup, Penny. We were quite reluctant for our sessions with her to finish. Lena dealt with both Penny and us patiently when teaching us new skills. Presently, we are able to comfortably stroll with our extremely lively pup without any tugging nor biting tendencies, and we are exerting effort in maintaining control around other dogs and large crowds. I'm inclined to believe Lena's magic wand is at work, but the truth is, she possesses remarkable understanding of canines and will guide pet owners likewise. I highly recommend her services for in-home training, and she's also available for outdoor training in the park. Lena, thank you for your valuable guidance!
